As I was browsing the web for scriptures to memorize, I came upon this site that recommended memorizing the 26 scriptures below. They suggest working on one scripture a week for six months. Here they are:

I'll be honest and say these aren't my "favorite" verses; however, they are pretty important verse to remember. Some of my favorite verses include:
Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my
days are numbered—how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no
longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to
you; at best, each of us is but a breath.

Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done
this have entertained angels without realizing it.

As I'm trying to remember all the verses I use to remember and love, I'm reminded of how much I need to continue studying the bible and memorizing scriptures. So, for every post I have from this day forward I plan to include one scripture that I will work on memorizing. I'm amazed as I look through my old bible Rachel and I tabbed with numbers and highlighted scriptures back in Junior High. I hope to regain a similar sense of thirst I use to have for scripture by staying active in God's word. It may seem petty to reflect back on that youthful innocence; however, I feel the need to grow closer to God and think this may be an important way I can do it.
